Children's Church 2007

At Prospect, Children’s Church plays a vital role in the spiritual life of our children, beginning with toddlers through the 2nd grade. We have six classes of Children’s Church where our little ones are introduced to God through His Word, the Bible, music, activities, pictures, movies, and games. It’s a fun time as well as a learning experience.
We like to think of it as the beginning of a child’s relationship with God and with their church family.
The children are taught Bible verses, Books of the Bible, the Disciples, how to use their Bibles, how to act in church, how to talk to God through prayer, and how to share the Word with other boys and girls.
At the end of each church year, the 2nd graders graduate into “Big Church” with their parents, at which time the little boys begin their service as Junior Deacons by helping the adult Deacons during worship services.
The graduation ceremony and music program is a special event each year, not only for the children, but for our entire church family as well. The children receive trophies for their faithfulness; Bibles as their guidance in future years, and diplomas as a remembrance of their days in Children’s Church. The graduates’ pictures are hung in a place of honor on the wall in the Children’s Department.
We take great pride in our children, the future of our church, and strive to lovingly guide them to be faithful stewards as they become youth and adults. We want our children to know that they are loved and that they are special in the eyes of God. We extend a heartfelt invitation for all children and their family to give us a try at Prospect. You are most welcome.
